Show notes (please see Timestamps below for more detail)

In this episode of The Greg Bennett Show, Greg has a very special return guest, Jan Frodeno. Jan Frodeno is a great champion and a good friend. He’s arguably the greatest Triathlete of All-time? His name is being consistently been thrown into this conversation. And it’s hard to argue with this, with his Olympic Gold, Three-time Ironman World Champion with a course record in Kona of 7.51.13, Two-time IM 70.3 World Champion, and a world record in the Ironman distance of 7.35.39 at the Challenge Roth event in Germany… and a list of wins that just keeps piling up. He’s had a target on his back for over a decade and he keeps delivering with the goods. He’s a crowd favorite, a gracious champion, and a true gentleman of the sport. We had an entertaining and insightful conversation in episode 27, which I highly recommend. This special edition is in two parts. In part 1 of this episode, Jan discusses what it's like to be back racing after such a long period away. He describes the difficulty of getting to the USA but then the sheer joy of getting back on the start line and testing himself. Jan steps through the Challenge Miami race and what it felt like to cross the line victorious and all the pressure that went with it. In part 2, We really get a glimpse of the life behind the athlete. Jan discusses self-doubt, and what it's like to always have a target on his back. He describes what his talent truly is and what a typical day really looks like. Jan discusses his new business venture with his wife Emma - The La Comuna Boutique residence, café, and corner store, his wonderful sponsors, and how he and his manager Felix manage all the commitments. We end with some fun quick-fire questions.
